Local Priorities- Mobile phone theft snatches on pedal cycles

I wanted to provide an update regarding Mobile phone theft, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

I have looked at the crimes over the past week and there has been (9) reported phone snatches, the locations to be aware of are as follows;

City Road
Goswell Road
Duncan Street
Angel tube station.
Ironmonger Road

These crimes occurred with the suspect(s) either using e-bikes, or pedal bikes. On a number of occasions there were two suspects on one bike.

Please be mindful of these locations, use building lines and avoid using your phone when waiting or crossing roads
